What is B.Tech?
BTech is a 4-year full-time professional undergraduate-level program. BTech and BE are almost similar degree programs. In some colleges, Both courses have an almost similar syllabus. BTech stands for Bachelor of Technology and BE stands for Bachelor of Engineering. BTech is practical where as BE is theoretical.
B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Age criteria
- There is no age limit for candidates to take admitted to BTech in most colleges
Education Qualifications
- Candidates must have passed class 12th from any recognised school/Institute.
- Candidates have mandatory to study physics, chemistry and mathematics in classes 11 and 12th.
- A 60% Mark is required in the qualifying exam.
Note – Mark’s and other relaxation depend upon the university for reserved category.
B.Tech Admission procedure
Admission to the B.Tech course is done by the entrance exam. Some colleges conduct their own entrance exam and some colleges take admission on the basis of jee mains exam rank. If aspirants want to do BTech, then they have to give an entrance exam and If candidates are rich, then they can take admitted to Btech courses at private colleges by giving donations.
First of all, the candidates have to register for the entrance exam. After that, your admit card will come. Candidates have to download the admit card from the official website and then candidate’s have to appear in the exam. After the exam is completed, your result will come within 2 weeks. After the result, you have to participate in counselling. In counselling, you will be allotted a seat according to your rank and category and your preference and after that, you have to pay the admission fee and your admission will be done.
B.Tech Application form
Almost all the entrance exam forms for BTech are filled out online. Almost all the applications are released in the month of January. For this, first aspirants have to visit its official website. After that aspirants have to register themselves with a valid email ID and mobile number. After that aspirants have to fill in all the required details in the application form like personal details, academic details or qualification details, communication details etc. The most important step is that you have to upload your document by self-attest. Mainly, aspirants have to upload their 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, passport size photograph and scanned signature and in the last step, candidates have to pay the application form fees. Aspirants can make payments using Net Banking, Credit Cards and debit Card.
