What is MAHA TET?
MAHA TET, often known as Maharashtra TET, is a Maharashtra-based test The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) conducts a state-level teacher eligibility test (TET) to establish the eligibility of candidates for classes 1 to 8 teachers in Maharashtra’s schools. The MAHA TET exam has two levels: primary (paper 1) and upper primary (paper 2).

MAHA TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Before filling out the online application form for the MAHA TET exam 2024, aspirants should make sure they meet the qualifying requirements. MAHA TET 2024 consists of two examinations (papers 1 and 2), each with its own set of eligibility requirements. The Maharashtra State Council of Examinations will release exact qualifying requirements for both papers soon.

Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5)
The applicants must have received at least 50 percent on a state or national board’s higher secondary or equivalent exam. Aspirants must also have passed or be scheduled to sit for the final year exam of a two-year Diploma (D.T.ED) in primary education from a recognised institution.
OR
Aspirants can apply for the paper 1 test if they have passed a higher secondary or equivalent exam with at least 45 percent marks from a recognised board and a two-year diploma in elementary education from a recognised institute.
OR
Aspirants for paper 1 must have passed class 12 or its equivalent test with at least 50% marks from a recognised state or national board, as well as a four-year bachelor’s degree in elementary education from a recognised institute. Aspirants who are in their final year of a four-year bachelor’s degree in elementary education are also eligible to apply.
OR
The applicants must have received at least 50 percent on a state or national board’s higher secondary or equivalent exam. Aspirants must have passed or be scheduled to sit for a final year exam for a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) from a recognised institution.
OR
MAHATET 2024 paper 1 is open to applicants who have finished a bachelor’s degree in any discipline and a two-year certificate in education.
Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2 (Class 5 to 8)
Aspirants must have passed or be appearing in the final year exam of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognised institution and have passed or be appearing in the higher secondary or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks from a state or national board.
OR
Aspirants who have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45 percent marks and have passed or are currently enrolled in the last year of a bachelor’s degree in education can apply for paper 2.
OR
Aspirants must have passed or be appearing in the final year test of a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education degree from a recognised institution and have received at least 50 percent in their upper secondary or equivalent exam from a state or national board.
OR
Aspirants must have passed or be appearing in the final year exam of a four-year B.A./ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. degree with at least 50% marks from a recognised board.
OR
Aspirants can apply for paper 2 if they have a graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks and have completed a one-year B. Ed degree (Special Education) from a recognised university/institute.
MAHA TET 2024 Exam Pattern

MAHA TET 2024 Exam Centers
The MAHATET exam is held in an offline format at several exam centres throughout the state. MAHA TET 2024 Admit Card
Aspirants who have completed the MAHATET application form 2024 can now download their exam admit card. The admission card can be downloaded in an online method from MAHATET’s official website.
