  • B.Tech is a degree where as Polytechnic is a diploma program.
  • Generally, a Polytechnic is of 3 years whereas B.Tech is of 4 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Polytechnic Admission Procedure

In some colleges, admission in polytechnics is done by entrance exam whereas in some, on the basis of merit list of marks of class X & XII. Both procedures are given below.

Entrance based admission

If you want to take admission through an entrance to polytechnics, then first you have to fill out the application form for the entrance test by going to the official website. After that, your admit card will come. You have to download it and you have to appear in the paper. After that, your result will come and according to the marks of the result, your merit list will be extracted, on the basis of which counselling will be done and your admission will be given.

Admission on the basis of class X & XII

If you want to get admission on the basis of marks of class X or XII then, First of all, you have to check which college offers admission on marks of 10th & 12th.
