GATE 2024 – GATE 2024 Exam will conduct on 03, 04, 10 and 11 February 2024 by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (NM) and Geomatics Engineering have been added to the list of GATE papers (GE).

What is GATE?
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, or GATE, is a national-level engineering entrance test that will be held by IIT Kanpur in 2024. Updated brochure PDF has been made available on the official website of IIT Kanpur. GATE test was last administered by the authorities in the year 2014. With the GATE exam and the GATE scorecard, one can apply for M.Tech programmes at famous IITs/NITs, participate in research programmes, work for a PSU, or pursue higher education at international universities.
Every year, on a rotating basis, the GATE Exam is held jointly by IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee. Marine Engineering & Naval Architecture will be one of the new papers in GATE, as will Geomatics Engineering. As a result, instead of 27 exams (old), there will be 29 papers available for the GATE Examination as possibilities for admission to IITs, NITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) in India. In GATE, a new paper called Biomedical has been included.

GATE 2024 Eligibility Criteria
A applicant must have one of the following qualifications to apply for GATE 2024. (s). Although the educational requirements for GATE have been reduced. Aspirants who meet the following requirements are eligible to take the GATE exam. The GATE Eligibility requirements have been loosened.
Nationality
To apply for GATE 2024, you must be an Indian citizen. The GATE exam is also open to aspirants from Nepal, Bangladesh, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Age Limit
There is no set age limit for taking the GATE exam.
Educational qualification
- Aspirants in their third or final years of an undergraduate degree are now allowed to sit for the exam. aspirants who have already completed any degree programme in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, or Arts that has been approved by the government are also eligible to take the GATE 2024 exam.
- According to the updated GATE qualifying criteria, a minimum qualification of 10+2+3 is required. This means that applicants in their last year of university are also able to apply for the GATE exam.
- Aspirants can apply for the course if they are pursuing or have completed their graduation in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, or Arts in a relevant area.
- There are no minimum pass percentage requirements to apply for GATE 2024.
GATE 2024 Exam Pattern
Here is given below the GATE Exam Pattern so that aspirants become friendly with the pattern.
- Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions are included in the GATE Exam.
- Multiple-choice questions receive negative grading, however numerical answer questions do not receive any deductions.
- Duration of Gate Exam will be 3 hrs or 180 minutes.
- There are two sections in Gate Exam in which one is General Aptitude (GA) and other is Core subject which is selected by the candidate’s.
- There are total 65 Questions in Gate Exam in which 10 from GA and rest from Core subjects.
- 3 type of Question will be asked in the Gate Exam i.e. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) , Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) & Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.
- For one-mark MCQs, 1/3 will be deducted for each incorrect response.
- For two-mark MCQs, 2/3 of a mark will be deducted for each wrong response.
- Multiple Select Question (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions have no negative marking.

GATE Mock Test 2024
On the official website of IIT Kanpur, a practise test for GATE will be released. Aspirants will become familiar with the GATE exam pattern 2024 by taking the GATE mock examination. GATE 2024 Correction
GATE application form 2024 rectification is available for a limited time at IIT Kanpur. To make changes, aspirants must check in to the GOAPS 2024 portal. To correct errors on their application forms, registered candidates can use the application form rectification service. Aspirants will be able to change their name, date of birth, contact information, university, and degree.
Information such as the exam paper, city, gender, category, and applicant information will not be editable. Login to your GOAPS account to access the GATE application form for rectification. Aspirants can change or edit only these details such as Name of the candidate, Date of Birth, Name of Parent/Guardian, Country of Residence, Parent/Guardian’s Mobile Number, Correspondence Address, Qualifying Degree Details.
GATE 2024 Admit Card
GATE admit card 2024 will be available on the official website of IIT Kanpur. The officials will give admission cards to aspirants who register for the GATE exam before the deadline. For identification considerations, aspirants must bring their GATE admit card and a valid picture ID with them to the exam. Aspirants must go to the official website and login with their username and password to download their GATE admit card.
Appeared for the GATE 2024
Aspirants must appear in the entrance exam to be considered for admission through the GATE exam. Exam Center will provide the candidates with the Date, Time, and Location. Aspirants must bring a printout of their admit card as well as at least one form of identification.

GATE 2024 Counselling
