What is JNUEE?
JNUEE (Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance exam) is a university-level entrance exam which is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) to provide admission in various UG, PG, PhD programmes in JNU except for MBA & Biotechnology programmes.

JNU Admission 2024 Eligibility criteria
Before taking admitted to JNU, aspirants have to fulfil the JNU Admission Eligibility Criteria which are the following.
Nationality
- Indian national and foreign National category candidates are eligible for JNU admission.
Age criteria
- There will be no age limit for the examination but for JNU admission candidates must be completed at least 17 years.

Undergraduate courses education qualification
The minimum education qualification for all undergraduate courses is aspirant must have completed their 12th or equivalent from any recognised board or university. Education qualifications for some undergraduate courses are given below Honours 1st year
- Candidate must have completed their 12th from any recognised board with a minimum of 45% marks.
- Intermediate-appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for JNU.
BA Hons 2nd year
- Aspirants must qualify for the first year of a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree from any recognised University with a minimum of 45% marks and aspirants must have adequate proficiency in the concerned language.
Postgraduate courses education qualification
The minimum education qualification for all postgraduate courses is aspirants must have a bachelor’s or equivalent degree in their relevant subject. Education qualifications for some postgraduate courses are following
MCA
- Aspirants must have a bachelor’s or equivalent degree from any recognised board with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- Aspirants must have Mathematics as their mandatory subject.
MA
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s or equivalent degree in any stream with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
MTech in statistical computing
- Aspirants must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering for MCA or a master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, statistic, operational research or in any other science branch.
- Aspirants must score a minimum of 55% in the qualifying exam.
MSc life science
- Aspirants must have completed Btech/BSc or equivalent bachelor’s degree in biological/physical/agricultural science or biotechnology from any recognised University with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
JNU 2024 Admission Procedure

JNU Admission process for MBA or Biotechnology programmes
As we discussed above, if aspirants want to take admitted to JNU MBA then they have to qualify CAT entrance exam. JNU Admission process of Merit-based courses
All the aspirants Who are interested to take admission in to merit-based courses, have to fill out the online JNU application form and then participate in the counselling. merit list will be prepared on behalf of their qualifying exam.
JNU Admission process of entrance-based courses
Aspirants have to fill out the JNU admission application form which is available on the official website and then download the admit card and appear in the entrance exam. After that results will be declared and a merit list will be prepared for their entrance exam. Shortlisted candidates have to participate in counselling for admission.
JNU 2024 correction window
JNU will open their correction window for a very short duration after closing the application form for all those candidates who made the mistake in their JNU application form while filling it. Aspirants have the last chance to rectify the mistake through the JNU correction window. Keep in mind that aspirants have the right to edit only a few details at the time of the correction window that’s why apnacampus advised you to check their application form before final submission.
JNU 2024 Admit Card
Aspirants can download their admit card for JNU 2024 approx 1 week before the entrance exam. JNU admit card contains the date, time and venue of JNU entrance exam along with some personal details. Don’t forget to take a printout of JNU to admit card and keep it safe because it is a very important document which will be required at any stage of admission. And after appearing in the entrance exam at the scheduled time and don’t forget to carry your admit card and at least one original identity proof at the exam centre.
JNU 2024 Exam Pattern
Here is given the exam pattern of JNU 2024, which aspirants should know so that they can make their strategy for the exam.
- The examination mode will be computer-based
- Exam duration will be 180 min or 3 hrs
- The question type will be MCQ or objectives
- The weightage of each question may be different for different programmes.
- Aspirants have to attempt all the questions because there is no negative marking (except M.Tech)
