- The MCAT test is open to anybody interested in a profession in allopathic, osteopathic, podiatric, or veterinary medicine.
- Aspirants from the United States and Canada must have a bachelor’s degree to sit for the exam.

- There are 221 multiple-choice questions in the computer-based test.

MCAT 2023 Exam Day appointment change
In order to change the MCAT exam appointment, the candidate must keep the following criteria in mind.
- This service requires an extra charge.
- Before the deadline, if space is available, one may change the test day and/or centre.

- Re-scheduling must be completed by the silver zone’s deadline.

The AAMC has officially announced the MCAT exam dates and scores release dates for 2023! On November 10, 2022, registration for MCAT dates in January and March 2023 will open. Registration for MCAT dates in April-June starts in February 2023, and registration for MCAT days in July-September opens in May 2023.

MCAT registration takes place twice a year, in October and February. The October registration is for tests that will be given from January to May. The February registration is for tests that will be given from June to September.
Seats for testing have historically sold out quickly—some in less than 24 hours—and we expect the same to happen this year. MCAT seats were almost as coveted as tickets to the best music events!
In general, it’s ideal to take the MCAT as near to the end of the required courses as feasible. The more you wait, the more your understanding of the subjects will deteriorate. Late June/early July is fine if you’re okay with submitting your application before knowing your score.
Most folks will need 10–15 hours per week for at least four to six months to study for the MCAT. In total, you should study for the MCAT for at least 200 to 300 hours.
