DSU – The Delhi Government has founded and announced Delhi Sports University (DSU). Padma Shri K Malleswari, the first female medalist from India at the Olympics, has been named the vice-chancellor. It is a first-of-its-kind establishment for excellence in sports education that combines a school as well as a university with the goal of offering top-tier sports training and instruction.
DSS – The Delhi Sports School is the city’s first exclusively residential school for athletes. Delhi Sports University will run and oversee it. Through a specialized sports-integrated curriculum, it seeks to develop sporting talent among students to attain the maximum degree of performance in their chosen sport and participate in significant sporting events with academics.
From sixth to twelfth grades, DSU will operate and oversee many Delhi Sports Schools. DSS will be a part of the Delhi Board of Secondary Education (DBSE), which the Association of Indian Universities has recognized as equivalent to the CBSE (AIU). The Delhi Sports University would allow DSS students to continue their athletic and professional paths. Students will be evaluated based on both their academic achievement and athletic accomplishments. Students will have access to top-notch athletic facilities and training programs in the 10 Olympic sports.

- Participants will be chosen for ten recognized sports in Classes 8, and 9, and for generic & specific sports admission in Classes 6, and 7.
- For admittance, there will be three tiers.
- Talent scouting is at Level 1, while selection trials are at Level 2 in Delhi.
- Level 3 of the selection process is the medical examination.
- A final admittance will be made following this.
