DIET Delhi admission 2024 – Delhi DIET admission form will be released in June/July 2024 online. Delhi Diet Entrance Exam will be conducted in August 2024. After completing Delhi diet, the Candidate is eligible to become a primary teacher who can teach the children of classes 1 to 5th or is eligible for CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test). Diet is earlier known as ETE ( Elementary Teacher Education).
What is DIET Delhi?
Diet is a 2-year undergraduate or state-level diploma programme which is conducted by SCERT or State Council of Educational Research and Training so that aspirants can get admission in the course of D.EL.ED and DPSE. DElEd, or Diploma in Elementary Education, is a two-year diploma programme aimed at training primary school teachers. DElEd prepares future teachers to instruct pupils in primary and upper primary schools, ages 6 to 15, in classes I through VIII. DPSE (DIPLOMA IN PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION) is a two-year full-time Diploma program.
Earlier the admissions were based on the merit list of class 12th. But this time the merit list will be prepared on behalf of the entrance exam. 2024 is the starting year of SCERT to take admission on the basis of the entrance exam in Delhi DIET Courses.

DIET Delhi admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria
If candidates dream to become a teacher then they have a good option to take admitted to Delhi Diet. The eligibility criteria for Delhi Diet are given below.
Age Criteria
- The minimum age requirements are not defined by the respective authority.
- The maximum age requirements have been set at 24 years old for general and OBC on 30 September 2024.
Note – 5 years’ relaxation for reserved category candidates.
Education Qualifications
- Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent exams from any stream.
- A 50% mark is required in the qualifying exams for general and OBC.
- A 45% Mark is required for reserved category candidates.
Note – Aspirants have to calculate marks in 5 subjects including at least one language.
Medical criteria
- Aspirants must be disease free and good in health.
- Aspirants have mandatory to submit a medical certificate that is recognized by MBBS or an equivalent degree.
Delhi DIET 2024 – Exam Pattern
The level of the entire question paper will be based on class X (except for numerical ability). Numerical Ability questions will be based on class 8th level. The following is the Exam Pattern of Delhi Diet Entrance Exam.
- The entire entrance exam of Delhi DIET will contain 150 questions.
- Exam will be conducted in CBT Mode.
- The duration of the entrance exam will be 120 minutes or 2 hours.
- The medium of the exam will be English/Hindi.
- Only MCQs will be asked in the exam.
- Aspirants get one mark for every correct answer.
- There will be no negative marking in the entrance exam for Delhi diet.
- The entire exam will of 150 Marks.

DIET Delhi 2024 Admission Procedure
Admission to Delhi diet have done on behalf of merit and the merit list is set by the respective authority according to the Mark of the entrance exam. First, Candidates have to register themselves and fill out the application form by visiting the official website of Delhi diet. Then candidates have to download the admit card and will appear in the entrance exam according to their schedule. and then download the result. And candidates have to fill in their choices or preferences for college. Then merit list will be released, and after that aspirants have to check their names on the merit list. After that candidates have to participate in the counselling.
DIET Delhi admission 2024 Application Form
Aspirants should have valid email IDs and mobile numbers so that the authority can contact or send important updates regarding admission through email and SMS only. Aspirants must ensure that the details filled in them is accurate or match with the relevant or original documents and if the details filled by the candidate are found to be incorrect at any stage then their application or admission will be cancelled at any stage.
First, Candidates have to register themselves by entering a valid email id and mobile number then fill out the complete application form by entering the required details after that you have to upload scanned copies of required documents like photographs, signatures etc.
Payment
Before submitting the application form, candidates have to check the detail again and then for successful registration, aspirants have to pay the application fees. The application fee for Delhi diet is 250 INR for DSPE whereas Rs. 500 for both DPSE and Deled. and payment can be done through credit cards, debit cards, and net banking.
Fill in the preference of the Institute then the designated centre will verify your documents. If any seat has been allotted to you then you have to go to the allotted Diet centre and if you are satisfied with the given college or Institute, you may freeze the seat and fill out the required application form which you will get from the facilitation centre and submit it with complete and required information and Aspirant’s have to submit the form with required documents such as mark-sheet or certificate of class 10 and 12th along with a birth certificate and reserved category certificate.

There are 9 government and 26 private colleges under Delhi diet. The Government College of Delhi Diet has 1,040 seats, while the Private Colleges of Delhi Diet has 1,450 seats. The college list and seat distribution are given in the table below.

DIET Delhi 2024 Fee structure
The Delhi Diet only offers two courses, namely D.EL.ED and DPSE. The fees for both courses are equal in the government college of Delhi diet. Aspirants have to pay this fee quarterly.
Fee structure of Delhi Diet Government colleges
- The fees of government college for both courses are 750 per month but aspirants have to pay 2,100 quarterly.
Fee structure of Delhi Diet private colleges
- The total fee of the D.EL.ED course is 37,500 and when you pay it quarterly, you have to pay Rs 9,375 and an extra 1,100 is to be paid for the examination fees, every year.
- The total fee of the DPSE course is 30,000 and when you pay it quarterly, you have to pay Rs 7,500 and an extra 1,100 is to be paid for the examination fees, every year.
