What is CLAT UG Exam?
CLAT UG (Common Law Admission Test) is a centralized national-level entrance examination which is conducted by a consortium of national law universities for admission to various UG undergraduate courses of Law.

CLAT UG 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Here is given all the eligibility criteria for CLAT UG 2023. To appear in the CLAT UG exam, candidates have to fulfil the below requirements.
Eligibility criteria for undergraduate low programme
- There is no maximum age limit.
- Candidates must have passed a 10+2 level of education from any recognized board.
- Minimum 45% Mark’s is required in qualifying exam for general/ OBC/ PwD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI.
- A minimum of 40% marks is required in the qualifying exam in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
- Aspirants who appear in the qualifying exam in March/April 2023 are also eligible to appear in CLAT UG 2023.
Note – In case of a tie, the candidates will be selected who have more marks in the legal aptitude section and second priority, higher age candidates.
CLAT UG 2023 Admission Procedure
First, candidates have to register themselves and fill out an online application form which is filled out online on the official website of CLAT UG. After successful registration, candidates have to wait for their admit card which is released on the official website approx 2 weeks before the exam.
Candidates have to download their admit card and appear in the exam then the result will be declared and after the result, candidates have to fill the choices by login their portal after that candidates will get a call for counselling and then candidates have to attend the counselling and pay the fees and then admission will be done.

CLAT UG 2023 Application form
The application form will be released officially in the month of January. Candidates have to visit the official website and then click on the CLAT UG 2023. If you are new to the website then click on don’t have an account or if you have already registered then login into your portal by entering your mobile number and password. For a new registration, candidates have to register your self by entering the required details. After successful registration, the candidate’s directly going to the Login page. Candidates have to fill out the entire application form.
First, the Candidate has to fill in the personal details and upload their passport size photograph and signature and fill in other required details then Fill in Communication details and after fill Qualification, details then select 3 exam city preferences and then fill in the reservation details and at last candidate have to pay the application form fee with the help of credit card, debit card and net banking. If candidates select the option of the previous Question at the time of payment then they have to pay extra Rs 500/-.

CLAT UG 2023 Admit card
Admit cards will be released approx 2 weeks before the entrance exam. Candidate can download their admit card from the official website of CLAT UG. To download the admit card, Candidates have to visit the official website and then log in to their portal by entering their mobile no and password and then click on the link for admit card.
Don’t forget to take a printout of it and make 2 or more copies of it for future reference. Candidates have to carry admit cards at the exam centres. The date, Time and venue are written on the admit card. If candidates face any issues during downloading the admit card then they should contact the help desk of CLAT UG.
CLAT UG 2023 Exam Pattern
Before appearing in the exam, the Candidate knows about the exam pattern which is given below.
- The exam will be offline on the OMR sheet.
- A total of 150 Questions will be asked in the exam.
- The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
- Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.
- Each Question will carry an equal exam.
- For every correct Question, 1 mark is awarded.
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

CLAT UG 2023 Syllabus
In the entrance exam of CLAT UG, Questions will be asked from 5 sections. All Questions are asked in the exam from the level of 10+2. The level of the exam will be easy to moderate. The syllabus is given below.
- English Language including comprehension – In this section, Questions will be covered on these topics like Seen and unseen passages, Summarising the passage etc.
- Current Affairs with General Knowledge – In this section, Questions will be covered on topics like static general knowledge, Arts and culture as well as Historical events, national & international current affairs and much more.
- Mathematics – It includes all topics of elementary mathematics along with ratio and proportion, basic algebra as well as mensuration and statistical estimation etc
- Legal Aptitude/Reasoning – It includes topics related to the study of law, rules and principles various fact situation and problem-solving abilities etc
- Logical Reasoning – It contains topics such as Draw relationships and analogies, identifying contradictions and equivalence, and assess the effectiveness of arguments etc.

CLAT UG 2023 Result
The result will be declared approx 2 weeks after the entrance exam. Candidate can download their result from the official website of CLAT UG. To download the result, Candidates have to visit the official website of CLAT UG and log in to their portal by entering the required mobile number and password after that click on the link of the result
The result will contain obtained marks and some personal details like name, Gender, date of birth etc. If candidates face any issue during downloading the result then they can contact the help desk and take a solution from them. CLAT UG 2023 Counselling Procedure
After result declaration, the Candidate has to log in to their portal by entering login details and fill the preferences of the college then the Rank list will be released by the respective authority and after that Candidate will get a call for counselling and they will provide you with a specific time for counselling and Candidate have to go to college and verify their documents and pay the 50,000 fees. maximum 3 to 4 rank lists are released. If candidates want to upgrade their seats then they can do and the money will be sent to the respective colleges.
