UP CNET 2023 – For admission to nursing studies, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) in Uttar Pradesh has begun the application forms. On June 4, 2023, CNET will take place. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) is going to conduct CNET (Common Nursing Entrance Test) for nursing Studies. Through UP CNET, candidates can take admitted to BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, and MSc Nursing / NPCC in the various universities and colleges of Uttar Pradesh. After clearing UP CNET, candidates are eligible to take admitted to all Government, Private and Deemed University.

UP CNET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
If the aspirants want to take admitted through Uttar Pradesh CNET then they have to fulfil the requirements as per their course which is mentioned below.
Age Criteria
- Candidates must be 17 years old on or before 31 December 2023.
- According to INC, The upper age limit is 35 years for OBC, SC, ST and 40 years for PD/PwD. (Only for BSc Nursing)
UP CNET BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria
- Aspirants with a science background who have successfully completed the qualifying Class 12 test (10+2) are required to have achieved at least 45% in PCB when combined, as well as a passing grade in English from any reputable board.
- Aspirants from the SC, ST, or OBC only need to receive a minimum of 40% rather than a minimum of 45% in the 03 core courses.
- For entrance to the BSc Nursing programme, English is a required subject in the 10+2 grade.
- Aspirants may also apply from state-approved open schools and the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS), which is approved by the federal government and exclusively offers English and science courses.
- Candidates who are colour-blind are eligible as long as they wear corrective coloured contacts and eyewear.
- Medical fitness will be a consideration in the applicant screening process. No chosen applicant will be allowed to enrol in the course unless the university-appointed medical board declares them to be in good health.
- Candidates who are married are also eligible.
UP CNET Post Basic BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria
- Aspirants must have passed the Intermediate level of education or equivalent in 1986 or earlier will be admitted.
- a certificate (GNM), and enrolled as a registered nurse-midwife (R.N.R.M.) with the UP State Nurses Registration Council (UP Nurses & Midwives Council).
- Aspirants from states other than Uttar Pradesh who hold a GNM certificate and are registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council are eligible if their University is acknowledged by (INC) Indian Nursing Council.
- In addition to being registered with the State Nurses Registration Council as a nurse and having received his training prior to the implementation of the new integrated course, a male nurse must show proof of training that was approved by the Indian Nursing Council for a comparable amount of time in place of midwifery in one of the following fields:
- O.T. Techniques
- Ophthalmic Nursing
- Leprosy Nursing
- TB Nursing
- Psychiatric Nursing
- Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Cancer Nursing
- Orthopaedic Nursing

UP CNET MSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria
- A registered nurse & a registered midwife, or an equivalent, with the State Nursing Registration Council of the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP Nurses and Midwives Council), is required of the candidate.
- If the candidate’s institution/college is acknowledged by the Indian Nursing Council, they will be qualified if they are a registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council outside the state of Uttar Pradesh.
- The B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Hons. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree must be successfully completed with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 55%.
- After completing a Basic B.Sc. in Nursing, at least 01 year of work experience.
- After completing your Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing, you must have at least 01 year of work experience.
UP CNET NPCC Eligibility Criteria
- RN & RM, or an equivalent, is required of the applicant.
- If the applicant’s institution/college is acknowledged by INC, they will be qualified if they are an RN, RM or equivalent.
- The B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Hons. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree must be successfully completed with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 55%.
- After receiving a Basic B.Sc. in Nursing, at least one year of clinical experience is required, ideally in a critical care environment.
- At least 01 years of clinical experience, particularly in a critical care environment, before or after completing a post-basic B.Sc. in nursing.
UP CNET 2023 Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Here is given the Uttar Pradesh CNET Exam Pattern so that aspirants become familiar with the pattern.
- The time of the exam will be 11:00 am to 02:00 pm.
- The exam will be held in offline mode through the OMR sheet.
- A total of 200 Questions will be asked in the CNET exam.
- One mark is rewarded if the answer is correct.
- There is no negative marking in UP CNET.
- The exam will be available in the English language only.

UP CNET 2023 Application Form

- Aspirants must read the application notice for the UP CNET 2023.
- Aspirants must fill up their basic information and upload their photo, signature, ID, and any other required documents.
- Applicants should review their complete details before submitting an application.
- If fees are required, you must pay them in order to submit the form.

Application fee
- Aspirants in the general category must pay a fee of Rs 1000.
- Aspirants who are OBC (OBC-Auction) or SC/ST/PH/Transgender must pay a Rs. 500 application fee.
- The required online submission method for the application fee is required.
- No other form of payment will be accepted for the application fee; only online submission is permitted.
UP CNET 2023 Counselling
Following the release of the results, ABVMU, UP, Lucknow will conduct online counselling; dates will be published on the ABVMU, UP website. Details for counselling will be made available following the result’s announcement. The Common Entrance Examination for the B.Sc. Nursing Program-2023 and counselling results will be used to compile a merit list for college selection and allocation. The candidate who has been granted admission to the B.Sc. Nursing programme must submit the required fee on the date that the University has designated for that purpose. Those who don’t will forfeit their claim to enrollment in the course. Aspirants must enrol in a programme within the allotted time.
