What is PUTHAT?
The University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM) (formerly known as the University Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism or UIHMT) is a newly established premier institute of Panjab University that provides education, training, research, and consultancy in the fields of hospitality, tourism, travel, and allied industries. Punjab University conducts PUTHAT entrance exam for admission to BHMCT and BTTM courses.

PUTHAT Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Before taking admission through PUTHAT, Aspirants have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria.
Education Qualification
- Aspirants should be 12th or equivalent passed with at least 50% marks.
- 45% marks are required for reserved category candidates of ST/SC/BC/PWD.
- They must have studied English as the main subject.
PUTHAT 2024 Exam Pattern
Here is given below the PUTHAT Exam Pattern so that aspirants become familiar with the pattern.
- The PUTHAT question paper will have a total of 100 questions.
- The test will be for one & a half hours or 90 minutes.
- The test will only be given in the English language.
- 01 mark will be given for each right answer.
- There will be a negative marking; for each incorrect response, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

PUTHAT 2024 Admit Card
The admit card for PUTHAT will be sent to those aspirants who successfully registered for the entrance test. The Admit Card will be issued entirely electronically by PUTHAT 2024. To get access to it, go to Panjab University’s official website and log in with your login id and password. An applicant will not be able to take the exam unless he or she has received an admit card.
PUTHAT 2024 Result
Following the completion of the entrance examination, applicants will have access to the results. The results are available in an online format on the university’s official website. To get the results from the official university website, applicants must input the id/number from their admit card. The result is an important document that includes the candidates’ names, roll numbers, category scores, category rankings, and total marks.
PUTHAT 2024 Counselling
Aspirants who pass the entrance test will be allowed to participate in PUTHAT counselling. Offline counselling will be used for PUTHAT 2024. To attend the PUTHAT test 2024 counselling, all eligible applicants must physically report to the University Institute of Hospitality & Tourism Management in Chandigarh. It is critical that aspirants bring all of the appropriate documentation to PUTHAT counselling. Aspirants would be invited for PUTHAT counselling based on their rank on the merit list. Aspirants would be admitted through PUTHAT counselling if seats are available and they meet the qualifying requirements.
PUTHAT 2024 Cut Off
Aspirants who pass the test must score above the PUTHAT 2024 cutoff. Punjab University will publish a merit list that includes the cutoff. Aspirants that satisfy the cutoff will be able to participate in the counselling process. The merit threshold for each category will be different, as shown below.
