DU merit-based admission – The admission Procedure of Delhi University has been completely changed for all undergraduate courses. No admission will be based on the merit list of intermediate. DU admission process had started in the month of August. It will be decided on the basis of merit. Delhi University offers almost all undergraduate courses of B.A., B.Com and BSc. for merit-based admission. Delhi University is affiliated with the Central Government of India. To take admission to Delhi University the minimum eligibility is that Aspirants have to complete their class 12th or equivalent examination from any recognized board.

DU merit-based admission – Eligibility Criteria
Before filling out the form for admission, It’s very important for Aspirants to know about eligibility criteria according to the course in which aspirants want to take admission. All courses have their different eligibility criteria which are given below
Age Criteria
There is no minimum or maximum age requirement for admission to Delhi University.
Nationality
The Candidates should be citizens of India. If any foreign candidates want to take admitted to Delhi University, then they can apply as ‘Foreign Candidates’ from the website (http://fsr.du.ac.in)
Educational Qualifications
- The candidates should have passed their class 12th from any recognized board.
- The candidates who are studying in their class 12th are also eligible.
- The candidates should have passed individually in each subject including practicals.

DU merit-based admission – Admission Procedure
Here is given step by step procedure to take admission to merit-based courses at Delhi University. By following these simple steps you can get admission to Delhi University If you are eligible.
First, Aspirants have to fill out the Application form for Merit-based admission then Aspirants have to wait to be released Cut off. If Aspirant marks are the same or above the cut-off marks then Aspirants have to calculate their Best 4 Marks for all courses of Arts and commerce and also for B.Sc Hons Mathematics and B.Sc Hons Computer Science.
For Science courses except for Mathematics Hons and Computer Science Hons, You have to calculate Best 3. Aspirants have to log in to their portal then select the course and college then apply and take a printout of it after that Aspirants have to go to the college in which they want to take admission along with the required documents. Aspirants have to verify and submit their documents in college then for successful Admission, Aspirants have to pay their admission fees.
DU merit-based admission – Application Form
Application Forms will be filled out online by visiting the official website of Delhi University. An application form will be released in the 2nd week of May. Here is given step by step procedure for filling out the application form.
Registration
First, Aspirants have to visit the official website of Delhi University and then click on the link of Admission & Examination which is available in the top right corner. Aspirants have to click on a link to Admission after that aspirants have to click on a link to UG Admission portal then Aspirants have to register themselves by entering the required details like Name, Valid Email Id, and Mobile No. Etc. then for successful registration, Aspirants have to verify their mobile numbers with the help of OTP.
Application Form
Aspirants have to fill in all the required details correctly. If any details will mismatch from the document at any stage, their admission will be cancelled even after admission.
Aspirants have to log in to their portal by entering their username and password after that read all the instructions carefully and then fill in their personal details, Family details and address. Now, Aspirants have to fill in their academic details that are marks of class 10th and 12th after that Aspirants have to select the merit-based courses in which they want admission and If Aspirants select their entrance-based course then the application fee will increase according to their entrance exam. Aspirants have to fill in sports details if they want to take admission through the sports Quota or if they want to take admission through ECA Quota then they have to fill in ECA details. Aspirants have to upload the required documents. The list is given in the section on required documents.

- The admission procedure is slightly different from ECA & Sports Quota.
Payment
For successful registration, Aspirants have to pay the application fee. Payment will be possible through credit card, debit card or net banking. the application fees are different for different candidates. check the application fee below
