COMEDK 2024 – COMEDK 2024 registration procedure will begin on February 1. The COMEDK UGET 2024 application link will be available at comdek.org. The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka already announced COMEDK UGET 2024 test date. COMEDK UGET test announcement will be released soon on the official website. COMEDK UGET 2024 test will take place on May 12, 2024. Candidates seeking admission to Karnataka engineering institutes will be able to apply for the test shortly.
COMEDK stands for “consortium of medical, engineering, and dental college “an autonomous body that conducts medical and engineering exams for 16 medical,24 dental, and 190 engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. To make the admissions transparent and nonexploitative for students a panel of academicians and highly ranked administrative offices holds charge of this exam so that students could get admissions to the colleges without any hassles after clearing COMEDK EXAM.
From the academic year 2024–2024, the respective authority will no longer offer COMEDK UGET. Now, admission to either private or unaided engineering colleges in Karnataka will be based on the results of the KCET exam, also known as the Karnataka Common Entrance Test. The KUPECA (Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association) and the state government met on June 23, 2022, and that day the decision was made.
However, after the Neet exam was mandated by the govt. they aligned themselves according to the guidelines and stopped taking examinations for medical college aspirants, but the exam still persists for engineering students.

COMEDK 2024 Eligibility criteria
So now that you have decided to apply for the COMEDK UGET exam let us have a look at the criteria to be eligible for appearing for this exam.
For BACHELORS IN ENGINEERING:
- You should have a higher secondary level examination i.e.10+2 or an equivalent examination certificate from any board.
- An aggregate of a minimum of 45% marks is mandatory for the students in the merit with physics, maths, chemistry, and English as main subjects.
- In the case of students from reserved categories i.e. sc, st, and OBC belonging to Karnataka the minimum aggregate marks required are 40% in the subjects mentioned above.
Note:- Diploma holders are not eligible for the exam.
For Bachelor in architecture:
- There is no entrance test for students seeking admission in architecture.
- The candidates must have cleared the NATA examination conducted by the council of architecture
- 10+2 with an aggregate 50% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics being the compulsory subjects
- 10+3 with maths being the compulsory subject during the diploma, and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the diploma.
How to apply for COMEDK UGET 2024?
To apply for the COMEDK UGET exam simply got the website www.COMEDK.org and register yourself as a new candidate. While registering yourself on the COMEDK portal the candidate must provide a valid mobile no. to get regular notifications while filing for the exam and a valid email address which you can check regularly for further updates being provided by the administration. You will also be asked to provide your 10th class certificate and 12th standard roll if the result is awaited or the result is announced.
Have a scanned copy of all your documents such as a mark sheet, an aadhaar card for identification, a caste certificate, a passport-size photo, and a scanned copy of your signatures.

Once the registration process is over you will be notified by the COMEDK board some days prior to the examination so that you can schedule yourself accordingly to the exam timings and date.
COMEDK UGET 2024 Syllabus
One of the most frequently asked questions is about the syllabus topics included or excluded for this particular exam. So most of the syllabus that you have covered for your Jee examination is the core syllabus for this particular exam which includes all the topics from class 11th physics, chemistry, and mathematics, along with all the topics from class 12th physics, chemistry, and mathematics. You don’t need to study anything extra for the exam.
COMEDK 2024 Exam pattern
The exam will consist of 60 questions each of physics, chemistry, and mathematics which sums up to 180 questions when combined which you have to complete within the time frame of 2hrs. the medium of the language for attempting the exam will be English only.
The candidate will be rewarded with 1 mark for each correct answer without a negative marking. However, in the case of a tie between two candidates whoever has the least wrong responses will get into the merit list. If necessary other methods will also be adopted by the board itself. Maximum marks will be 180.
COMEDK 2024 Results
Once the examination is over after evaluating the answer scripts of the candidate the results will be announced online on their portal and the candidate will be notified via an SMS on their registered mobile number. On the COMEDK portal, you need to fill in your examination roll no. and the moment you enter your password you will see your rank on the screen. After getting into the merit you need to go for counselling.
COMEDK 2024 Counselling Procedure
After getting into the merit you need to attend a counselling session to be held online where you will be asked to fill in your choices such as your college, and the course you are opting for. You need to block your seat and hence you will be granted admission to the college of your choice. You need to pay the admission fees or else your admission will be cancelled.
