What is PESSAT?
PESSAT or Peoples Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test is an annual exam administered by PES University in Bangalore so that Aspirants can get admission into various UG & PG programmes such as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Design (B.Design), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), BBA in Hotel & Event Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA).

PESSAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who want to take the PESSAT in 2024 should make sure they meet all of the requirements. Various courses have different eligibility requirements. Before filling out the application form, candidates should carefully review the eligibility requirements. The eligibility criteria for PESSAT exam are the following.
Nationality
- Aspirants who are Indian citizens would be able to take the exam.
Educational Qualification
For Undergraduate Courses
The minimum education qualification for all UG courses is Aspirants must have passed an intermediate level of qualification from any recognized university/Board.
B.Tech Course
- Aspirants must have passed a recognised board’s 12th grade or equivalent test and must have studied these mandatory subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
- Aspirants must have received a minimum of 60% on the qualifying examination in order to be considered.
BBA Course
- Aspirants must have completed the 12th grade or an equivalent test from a recognised board.
B.Arch Courses
- For admission to the B.Arch programme, candidates must have passed the NATA examination.
- While filling out the PESSAT 2024 application form, candidates must upload their NATA scorecard.
BBA LLB Courses
- For admission to the BBA LLB programme, candidates must have passed the CLAT examination.
- While filling out the PESSAT 2024 application form, candidates must upload their CLAT scorecard.
For Postgraduate Courses
The minimum education qualification for all UG courses is Aspirants must have a bachelor or equivalent degree from any recognized university/Institution.
M.Tech Course
- Aspirants must have earned a B.Tech/BE in a related field from a recognised university.
MBA Course
- Aspirants must have earned a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree in any discipline from a recognised institution or university.
MCA Course
- Aspirants must have earned a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- Aspirants must have passed the qualifying test with one of the elective subjects being Computer Science or Mathematics or Computer Programming, Business Mathematics, Business Statistics, or Statistics and received a minimum of 50% on the qualifying examination in order to be considered.
PESSAT 2024 Exam Pattern
Candidates who intend to the take PESSAT entrance test should first familiarise themselves with the format of the exam and the kind of questions that will be asked. It specifies the exam’s manner of administration, the number of questions, and much more, as known through the following details. Exam patterns vary depending on the course.
- The exam will only be available in an online format.
- For the B.Des course, only pen and paper will be used.
- PESSAT is a three-hour exam for B.Tech and a two-hour exam for all other courses.
- In B.Tech, a total of 180 questions are asked. A total of 120 questions are asked in different courses.
- In PESSAT 2024, there will be no negative marking.

PESSAT 2024 Admission Procedure
Before taking admission through PESSAT, Aspirants have to read the Official information bulletin which is available on the PESSAT official website. The Admission procedure for PESSAT 2024 is the following.
PESSAT 2024 Application Form
Aspirants can only fill out the PESSAT 2024 application form online. Aspirants must be cautious when filling out the application form since any errors will result in the form being rejected by the university.
Aspirants must first go to the PESSAT official website & select the course in which they want to take admission then register themselves by filling out the essential information. Fill in personal information including blood type, nationality, category, religion, citizenship, permanent residence, phone number, parents’ information, educational information, course and branch, test centres, and so on. When you check the declaration, you’ll notice a notification that says, “Your application has been successfully filed.” ’ After that, the candidate’s scanned photograph and signature in the approved format must be uploaded.
Application Fee
Candidates have the option of paying the application fee both online and offline. Credit cards, debit cards, and net banking are all options for online payment. Aspirants can pay the fee via bank challan or demand draught in an offline manner. Aspirants who pay the fee by Demand Draft (DD) must make the check payable to “PES University General Fund” in Bangalore. Aspirants who intend to pay the application fee by D must send it to the following address.

PESSAT 2024 Slot Booking & Admit card
During slot booking, candidates can choose their preferred time and day for the examination. On a first-come, first-served basis, it will be done. Candidates must provide their personal information in order to reserve a time slot. Candidates will not be able to make any modifications to their slot booking once it has been completed.
After slot booking is completed, candidates will be able to get their PESSAT 2024 admission card. For downloading the admission card from PES University’s official website, candidates must input their registration number and password. If a candidate does not have their admission card, they will not be able to take the exam.
PESSAT 2024 Result
The university’s official website will provide the PESSAT 2024 results. Aspirants can only get their results over the internet. For B.Tech, the results will be declared on 25 August 2024 and For all other courses, they will be declared three days after the examination. To check the outcome, Aspirants must provide their date of birth and registration number.
Candidates should print their results because they will be needed during counselling. On the basis of the results, PES University will compile a merit list. Candidates with good grades will have their names appear on the merit list. Counselling will be held for the selected candidates whose names appear on the merit list. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their test scores and personal interviews.
PESSAT 2024 Counselling
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for PESSAT 2024 counselling. In PESSAT counselling, there are two rounds. Candidates must pay a 500 INR counselling fee. During the counselling session, candidates must present their original documents.
Candidates will be chosen based on their performance on the PESSAT 2024 and a personal interview. PES University will conduct a brief interview at the examination centre on the same day as the written examination. For the B.Tech programme, 60% of seats are reserved for PESSAT candidates. The remaining 40% of seats are filled through the KCET test. Candidates who have passed the PESSAT 2024 exam will be given priority at PES University.
