NSD admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria
For the three-year diploma course in dramatic arts, aspirants must meet NSD qualifying requirements. Aspirants who are determined to be ineligible during the test will be disqualified from taking it. Aspirants can verify their eligibility by following the details.
Age Criteria
- Aspirants’ min and max ages as of July 1, 2024, should be 18 & 30 years old, respectively.
- SC/ ST applicants will receive a 5-year age reduction in the maximum age limit.
Essential Qualification
- An applicant must have graduated from a recognised university in India or abroad with a bachelor’s degree in any field.
- At least six theatrical shows must have been attended by the candidate.
- An applicant must be able to communicate in English / Hindi.

NSD admission 2024 Selection Procedure
Aspirants will be chosen based on their performance in a written exam, a practical exam, and an analytical capability test. Aspirants who pass these examinations will be required to attend a 04-05 day workshop at NSD, New Delhi before being finalised.
- Written test: Aspirants’ critical aptitude as well as their ability to articulate themselves in Hindi & English will be tested.
- Practical Test: Aspirants must prepare one dramatic and one poetic piece to be enacted during the practical test. This exam will evaluate your ability to sing, play an instrument, articulate directorial ideas, and so on.
- Analytical capacity exam: This test will evaluate the applicants’ broad knowledge of theatre and other performing arts, as well as their ideas and ability to communicate them.
NSD 2024 Application Form
Aspirants will have the option of filling out and submitting their NSD application form for admission online or offline, depending on their preference.
Online Application Form
The respective authority will release the online application form through the official website. Aspirants’ have to enter basic personal & educational information into the application form. Photographs, signatures, and other necessary documents in scanned format will be uploaded to the application. Aspirants can successfully submit the form online after filling out all of the required information and paying the application cost of Rs. 50/-. The application cost can also be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking account.
Offline Application Form
Aspirants can request an offline NSD application form by writing to NSD, Delhi Dean. A demand note for Rs. 225/-, inclusive of postal costs, made in favour of The Director, NSD, New Delhi, must be sent with the request. The written request & demand draft should be given to the school as soon as possible after the deadline. The application should also include testimonials, copies of certifications, and two current passport-size pictures. Completed application forms must be mailed to the Dean at the following address.

NSD admission 2024 Admit Card
Aspirants will be able to obtain their NSD exam 2024 admit card over the web. Admit cards may include information such as the applicants’ names, test times and dates, test centres, and roll numbers, among other things. The applicants will not get their hall tickets by mail or any other offline method. On the day of the examination, aspirants must bring their admit cards with them to the examination venue. Aspirants will not be permitted to enter the examination venue if they do not have their admit cards.
