CUET 2024 – The NTA (National Testing Agency) will release CUET 2024 Application form in April 2024. CUET 2024 test will be held in May 2024. CUCET 2024 has been called CUET (Central University Entrance Test). Over 45 Central Universities will accept CUET 2024 marks. CUET 2024 is estimated to attract about one lakh applicants. The test will be held in 547 Indian cities and 13 international cities. Last year, 97,416 people took the exam, which was offered at 308 locations in 161 cities around the country.
What is CUET?
The Central University Entrance Test (CUET) is an all-India entrance test administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate programs provided by all participating institutions. The entire name of the test was Central Universities Common Entrance Test or CUCET until last year when the University Grants Commission modified it (UGC).
The test is held once a year in over 500 places throughout India and around the world. The test lasts two hours and is administered on a computer. Originally, UGC administered CUCET by paper and pencil. Since last year, the NTA has been administering the test by computer.
Students will be able to apply for admission to any of the Central Universities (CUs) throughout the country by CUET 2024. The Central Universities Entrance Test will be held in 13 languages across the country at 154 test centres. Admission to UG (undergraduate) courses at CUs (Central Universities) will be exclusively dependent on CUET 2024 scores, with no weighting given to class 12th marks. International candidates will be excused from CUET 2024, and their admissions will be handled on a supernumerary basis.
Universities are currently flexible in using the CUET 2024 scores for post-graduate programs. The work of NTA started with the application of CUET and ended with the announcement of CUET result. After this, universities conduct their own admission process. So the aspirants need to regularly visit the official website of the university to which they want to take admitted.
