CTET 2024 – CTET 2023 December session exam will be conducted on 21 January 2024. For those who aspire to pursue the teaching profession in the future, CBSE will shortly release the CTET 2024 Notification. It has conducted twice a year, one in July & the other in December.
CTET is a National level examination that is conducted twice a year by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). After qualify CTET exam, the candidate becomes eligible to teach children from classes I to VIII in all those schools which come under the central government.
The good thing about the exam is that the candidates can give this exam as many times as they want, there is no attempt limit. As we mentioned above, it is conducted twice a year, one in the month of July and the other in the month of December. The certificate of CTET is valid for 7 years.
What is CTET?
CTET stands for Central teacher eligibility test. It is a national-level exam to select those candidates who are eligible to teach students of classes I to VIII. In CTET, there is two paper. One is CTET PAPER – 1 & Other is CTET PAPER – 2. Candidates who qualify for Paper 1 are eligible to teach children from the First to Fifth class, and those who qualify for Paper 2 are eligible to teach students from 6th to 8th class.

CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Here is given the Eligibility criteria for CTET. To apply for CTET, candidates have to fulfil the below requirements.
Age Criteria
- The candidate’s age must be at least 18.
- There is no upper age limit for CTET.
Education Qualifications for CTET Paper – 1
- Candidates have passed class 12th or equivalent exams from any recognized board.
- Candidates have a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exams.
- Including Either
- Candidates have passed a 2-year diploma in elementary education or D.El.Ed.
- Or
- Candidates have passed a 4-year bachelor’s degree in elementary education or B.El.Ed.
- Or
- Candidates have passed a 2-year diploma in education or D.Ed.
Education Qualifications for CTET Paper – 2
- Candidates must have passed the graduation or equivalent examination from any recognized board.
- Candidates must have attained a minimum of 50% Mark in the qualifying exam.
- Including Either
- Candidates have a 2-year diploma in elementary education or D.El.Ed.
- Or
- Candidates have 1 year Bachelor’s degree in education or B.Ed.
- Or
- Candidates have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in elementary education or B.El.Ed.
Eligibility for CTET certificate
- A 60% Mark is required for General category candidates.
- A 55% Mark is required for reserved category candidates.
CTET 2024 Procedure or stages
First, candidates have to fill out the application form CTET which is filled out online on the official website of CTET. To fill out the application form, candidates have to register first then fill out the entire application form and then-candidate have the option to edit their form through a correction window after that admit card will be online approx 2 weeks before the exam then candidates have to appear in the exam and after that result will be declared by the respective authority then Candidates who qualify CTET will get their certificate.
CTET 2024 Application Form
The first candidate has to visit the official website of CTET. Candidates have to click on the link to fill online application form for CTET then if you are a new candidate, you have to register first and fill out the entire application form. Candidates have to fill in personal information like name, gender, identification type, Identity Number, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, etc. And select a minimum of 3 exam centre preferences as well as select 2 languages in which questions will be asked and also a paper of medium then candidates have to fill in their contact information like complete address with pin code, email id, and mobile number then candidate have to choose a password for security and select security question and answer then security pin means candidate to choose a password.
After that candidates have to upload the required documents like a passport size photograph scan signature and qualifying exam mark sheet. And at last option for a successful application is payment, the candidate has to pay the application fee. Mode of payment is available through credit card debit card net banking. Candidates can also pay the application fee through e challan in Canara Bank.

CTET 2024 Correction window
If any of the candidates have done mistakes in their application form then they last chance to rectify their mistakes through the correction window. For correction, candidates have to visit the official website and click on the link of CTET application form correction then fill in the required detail and click on the sign-in button after that candidates are able to make the required correction and after correction click on save and submit the form. Candidates can make corrections only in the candidate name, father name, mother name, date of birth, candidate category, name of your college or your college or university, select paper, preferred centre, the language of paper, and communication address.
CTET 2024 Admit Card
Admit cards will be released officially on the official website by respective authorities approx 2 weeks before the exam. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website by login their portal and then clicking on the link to admit card. Admit card contains the detail of the candidate like name, gender, category, roll number, and photograph along with the date, time, and venue of the exam centre. before visiting the exam centre, candidates have to read all the instructions which are available on the admit card.

There is 20 language available for the exam. Candidates have to select 2 languages out of 20 at the time of filling out the application form. Questions will be asked from the selected language in CTET paper. A list of available languages is given below.

CTET 2024 Result
The result will be declared on the official website approx 2 weeks after the exam.
