About GMCET
The All India Media Common Entrance Test, or AIMCET, was the previous name for the Global Media Common Entrance Test (GMCET). Admission to undergraduate media programmes is available through the GMCET, a South Asian-wide exam for global media common entrance. This year, an admission exam for institutions and universities is planned once every month from April through August. The largest education-focused portal in South Asia, edInbox, is the platform that powers the test. The Global Media Education Council (GMEC) initially administered the GMCET in 2021.
About Global Media Education Council
GMCET is GMEC’s ground-breaking attempt to standardise the evaluation of prospective media industry graduates.
- The GMEC, with its esteemed members from a variety of areas, contributes to learning methodologies, tools, and procedures as well as to the selection of the top entry-level talent in media educational institutions.
- The Council will serve as a link between the three parties involved: the industry’s recruiters, trainees, and institutions that educate media professionals.
- By virtue of Indian law, the Council is being constituted in India, first through a non-profit entity. Eventually, in addition to a worldwide body, it will include national chapters.
- An eminent Indian educational portal called Edinbox.com first proposed the concept and originally supported it. This Council will benefit greatly from the administration of the portal.
