The respective authority of IMU conducts IMU CET or Indian Maritime University’s Common Entrance Test which is a university-level entrance test. What is IMU CET UG?
Indian Maritime University holds IMU CET for admission to various UG, PG, & PhD programmes such as B. Tech, B. Sc, excluding BBA, M. Tech, M. Sc, and MBA with a variety of specialisations. IMU CET 2024 is held once a year in 36 places throughout India. The official authorities of the IMU will admit suitable applicants to various Under Graduate (UG) & Post Graduate (PG) programmes in the subject of Marine Engineering that will be offered. Aspirants will have the option of enrolling at one of IMU’s five campuses, which are situated in Cochin, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, & Vishakhapatnam.

IMU CET UG 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to apply for admission through IMU CET 2024 must meet all of the following qualifying requirements.
Age Criteria
The age of candidates will be calculated at the date of 11-10-2024. The minimum age is 17 years while the maximum age limits are mentioned below.

Education Qualification
- Aspirants must have completed 12th grade from a reputable board with at least 60% (50% for B.SC in Ship Building and Repair) in Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics.
- SC/ST category candidates have a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks except for English.
- It is preferable to have a minimum of 50% in English from Class 10th or 12th.
Medical Qualification
- Aspirants must be physically and mentally fit.
- Eyesight – Distance Vision unaided range must be 0.5*(6/12) for each eye or 0.67*(6/9) for the better eye & 0.33*(6/18) for other eyes.
IMU CET UG 2024 Exam Pattern
Here is given below IMU CET UG Exam Pattern so that aspirants become familiar with the pattern.
- Aspirants must take the Entrance test in an online format using a Computer Based Test.
- The applicants will have three hours to complete the whole question paper of the entrance test, according to the official authorities.
- The question paper for the entrance test will be provided by the official authorities in English.
- Candidates will be required to answer 200 questions in total.
- The total number of marks on the exam paper for the Undergraduate (UG) course will be 200.
- Applicants will only have to answer MCQs on the Entrance exam.
- For each accurate answer submitted in the entrance exam, the applicants will receive one mark. In the entrance test, there are no negative marks.

IMU CET UG 2024 Admit Card
After the exam dates are announced, the admit card for IMU CET entrance examination will be distributed. Officials will not allow applicants to enter the exam hall if they do not have their admit cards on the day of the examination. The admit card will contain the details related to the date, time & venue of the exam.
IMU CET UG 2024 Result
IMU results are available online at imu.edu.in. It is available in PDF format. Candidates are given admission to their desired courses and colleges based on their IMU CET 2024 scores. IMU CET result is only valid for that academic session. Candidates must come for counselling once the results have been announced.
IMU CET UG 2024 Counselling
First, Aspirants have to register themselves by paying Rs. 10,000/-. If the seat is allotted and aspirants want admission to that seat then they have to pay Rs. 25,000 else Rs. 9,000/- will be refunded. After paying Rs. 10,000/-, Aspirants have to fill in and locked their choices. The counselling will be started with the verification of documents and end with the payment of admission.
IMU CET UG 2024 Cut Off
The cut-off of IMU CET 2024 will be the university’s minimal score for shortlisting candidates for the admissions process. The university will announce the cut-off marks for each exam participant based on their category.
