HSEE 2023 – Every year, IIT Madras conducts a national-level entrance test called the Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination, or HSEE. The test is for enrollment in the MA Development Studies and MA English Master’s Programs.
The test conducting authorities has issued HSEE notice 2023. HSEE 2023 test will take place in June 2023. Exam registration will begin soon and will continue through April 2023. In this article, we discussed everything about HSEE.
What is HSEE?
IIT Madras administers the Humanities & Social Sciences Entrance Exam (HSEE), which allows aspirants to enrol in the college’s five-year integrated Master of Arts (MA) course. The MA programme at IIT Madras is identical for the first two years.
The study then splits into two streams: an Integrated MA in Development Studies and an Integrated MA in English Studies. There are 58 seats available in the MA programme at IIT Madras (each year). The official dates for HSEE 2023 have been announced, with the national-level entrance test set for June 12, 2023.

HSEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in taking HSEE test should check the following qualifying criteria:
Age Criteria
- Aspirants in the general category who were born on or after October 1, 1997, are eligible. Aspirants with SC/ST/PWD are provided with 5-year age relaxation.
Education Qualification
- Aspirants must have a 10+2 level of education from any recognised board or institution with a minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD) aggregate marks.
HSEE 2023 Exam Pattern
Aspirants who are prepared for the entrance exam should look at HSEE exam pattern 2023 since it will help them comprehend the exam better. HSEE exam pattern contains a wealth of information on the entrance exam and question paper, including the sorts of questions, sectional divisions, and the time allotted to complete each part.

- HSEE Test will be divided into Part I and Part II.
- HSEE Exam will last three hours. Part I will last 150 minutes and will be conducted entirely online. Part II will last 30 minutes and will be available both online and offline.
MCQs from English and Comprehension Skills, Analytical and Quantitative Ability, Environment and Ecology, and General Studies will make up Part I of the question paper. Aspirants will be evaluated on their writing abilities in Part II of the test, which will require them to compose an essay on a general topic.

HSEE 2023 Exam Centers
The test will be held in the test cities listed below. The aspirant has the option of choosing between two exam centres. Every effort will be made to assign him or her the centre of his or her first choice. In exceptional instances, the candidate’s second-choice centre or city may be assigned. Aspirants are unable to modify the city or municipality to which they have been assigned.

HSEE 2023 Application Form Fee
Aspirants can pay for their HSEE fees both online and offline way, according to the institute. Aspirants can pay with a credit card, debit card, or net banking via online manner. Students can pay using an Indian Bank e-challan in an offline manner. In addition, the bank’s service costs of Rs. 40 would be applied.
