IPU MCA 2024 – IPU University takes admission in MCA or MCA SE through the entrance exam of NIMCET (National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test). This exam is conducted by the respective authority of NITs. In this article, we will discuss the admission procedure of MCA in GGSIPU as well as other things related to IPU MCA.

What is IPU MCA?

IP University is also known as Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and is one of the topmost universities in India. IP University has 10 colleges that have 2 years of master of computer application courses and admission will be based on the NIMCET exam.  The student is required to qualify for the NIMCET exam. IP University MCA course is available in Delhi and some areas of Uttar Pradesh.

IPU have two MCA branches, one is normal MCA (Master of computer application) and the second is MCA SE (Master of Computer Application in Software Engineering). The CET code for MCA in IPU is 105. If the seats of MCA in IPU is vacant after providing to qualified NIMCET Aspirants then IP university conducts their MCA CET (Common entrance exam for MCA).

IPU MCA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To do an MCA course from IP University, the student should have to fulfil the below requirements.

Age Criteria for IPU  MCA

IP university has its own age-appropriate entry rules that allow any student to take admitted. There is an age limit for IP university under which any student can do an MCA course.

• The age of the student should be 35 years or less than 35 years for the IP University MCA course.

Education Qualification

• To do the MCA course from IP University, the student’s graduation should be either in Bachelor of Computer Application or a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering.
• Aspirants have a valid scorecard of NIMCET.

Or

• Aspirants must be graduates in any discipline.
• The student must have studied mathematics at the 12th level or graduation level.
• Their percentage should be 50% in graduation.
• 45% marks are required if the aspirants belong to SC/ST candidates.
• Aspirants must have a valid scorecard of NIMCET entrance.

IPU MCA 2024 Exam Pattern

Admission to IPU MCA will be done on the basis of NIMCET score and if the seat is still vacant then the respective authority will conduct CET for MCA. The following are the exam pattern of CET and the chances of conducting MCA CET is too much low because seats are filled every year.

• The exam will be conducted in online or CBT mode.
• MCA CET language will be English.
• There will be 100 Questions asked in the exam.
• MCQs type questions will be asked in the exam.
• There will be a negative marking of one mark and for every correct answer, 04 marks are awarded.
• The student gets 150 minutes for solving the paper.

IPU CET MCA 2024 Admission Procedure

The entire process of MCA admission to IP university is online. First, aspirants have to complete all stages of the NIMCET 2024 then fill out the application form for IPU CET by visiting the official website then for final admission, Aspirants have to appear in the counselling that will be conducted by the respective authority of IPU.

IPU CET MCA 2024 Application Form

To study MCA at IP University, a student has to go to the official website of IPU and fill out his application form, which is as follows

IP University Application Fee is Rs. 1200/- for all category aspirants.  In the application form, students have to enter their names and address and submit their documents. The student has to upload the signature of the name and the photograph.

IPU CET MCA 2024 Counselling Procedure

After this, the student has to do a choice to fill out the MCA course, online.  The student can choose from all the colleges in which MCA course is offered. If the candidate qualified for the cutoff then his name appears in the cutoff. If the aspirants want to take admission in that seat, then freeze it, and pay the Rs. 40,000 to confirm the seat, otherwise don’t freeze it and wait for the second allotment list.  If the student does not like that college even there then the student will leave the freeze option and go to the third seat allotment. Where it will be his final seat selection.  After that students can be out of counselling. After the student selects his college, the student has to pay the first-year fee which is Rs. 40,000.

IPU MCA 2024 Placements

MCA college placements at IPU are not very excellent. However, all of the large firms, such as Amazon and Blackstone, visit the campus, as do a few other good companies. A mass recruitment business is responsible for recruiting 10-15% of students. The placements for MCA candidates are not at all worthy. Students are suffering greatly as a result of their placements.
